You've never been to a camp like this before. Waking up nose-to-nose with an endangered Florida manatee. Feeding a giraffe. Snorkeling with stingrays. Stroking a blubbery beluga whale. If you want to get close to awe-inspiring animals, this is the place. SeaWorld/Busch Gardens Adventure Camps offer campers unique up-close, behind-the-scenes, unforgettable animal interactions and zoological expertise unavailable anywhere else in the world. Scheduled to open this summer at SeaWorld San Diego, the newest SeaWorld/Busch Gardens Adventure Camp complex includes dormitories, classrooms,
a multipurpose room, outdoor play areas, meal facilities, and its own dedicated food service building.
According to the American Camping Association (ACA), the summer resident camp market is growing and it's projected to continue to grow. SeaWorld San Diego's Adventure Camps have been a sell-out success. But enrollment has been limited by the adventure park's limited areas for sleeping and instruction. That's about to change. Construction of the new camp complex increases summer resident camp capacity by 500 percent and doubles the park's capacity for day campers. Plus, the new facility allows camp programs in the off-season, too, when the dorms and other facilities are also available for groups (YMCA, church groups, scouts, school groups and others) who want to book camp sessions.
Resident Campers get to "live" at SeaWorld. At SeaWorld San Diego, campers
spend their nights in the new Adventure Camp dormitory.
