Did You Know... About Killer Whales?
• Killer whales are the top predator in the ocean;
a healthy adult can prey on anything that lives in the sea and has no predators of its own. Known for hunting in packs, killer whales are considered the “wolves of the sea.”

• With the arrival of Halyn at SeaWorld San Antonio and Trua (Icelandic for “Believe”) at SeaWorld Orlando, 21 killer whales have been born and are being successfully raised at SeaWorld parks – the most successful killer whale breeding program in the world.

• Trainers and whales spend years developing relationships much like friendships, based on mutually rewarding interactions and a variety of positive reinforcements.

• More than 50 new behaviors were created for “Believe,” the most ambitious killer whale show in SeaWorld's 42-year history. By celebrating the grace and power of Shamu® and the amazing relationship between trainer and whale, “Believe” aims to inspire guests of all ages that all things are possible.
